Shangsi, a long forgotten abandoned fishing community lies unknowingly in amongst some 400 other islands surrounded by the Yangtze river of China. Long abandoned, Shangsi has over time taken to a slow and beautiful death. As houses fade to stone and walk paths become slowly over run with scrub the abandoned village falls into a camouflaged slumber soon to be lost and forgotten by all.
Creative photographer Jan Quing snapped up some incredible shots of the fading town. Check out some of these over run structures!
